The Mile Marker Power Steering Pump Hydraulic winch can be purchased either in H Series or the HI Series. Both systems use a solenoid directional control valve to re-direct the power steering fluid to rotate the winch prior to being distributed to the steering gear box. The H Series uses a separate solenoid remotely mounted from the winch. The HI series has an integrated solenoid valve.
H-Series Winches and Adapters
Can be mounted to the front or rear of the vehicle as a permanent or detachable winch.
- Uses the 34 Series valve kit to adapt the winch to the steering circuit. With the H Series winch and 34 Series valve kit, the solenoid valve is typically mounted in the engine bay of the vehicle near the steering pump and steering gearbox.
The HI Series Winches and Adapters
- The solenoid directional control valve is always in the same location as the winch.
- Usually only used in permanently front-mounted applications.
- Includes all hoses, integrated solenoid valve, remote pendant station, cable, roller fairlead and fasteners.
- Use the 35 Series Vehicle Adapter Kit to function with the vehicle’s power steering system. The kit includes adapters for the power steering pump and steering gearbox.
