Bilstein B6 4600 shock absorbers are designed as a direct fit upgrade to OE shock absorbers on stock height light trucks and SUV’s. These shock absorbers feature a monotube design which provides consistent fade free performance. B6 4600 shock absorbers utilize a unique, velocity sensitive, digressive piston which reacts to changing road conditions. All B6 4600 shock absorbers are tuned for each specific application to ensure optimal performance is achieved.

Ask A Question

Says it is direct replacement for OE. However the upper stem looks like it has a long oversize bushing covering most of thread. That means the stock installation washers and rubber pads will not fit over the bushing and the stem shaft would be too long with it removed. What is solution?

The smooth sleeve portion on the stem of these rear shocks is designed to work and mount just like the original shocks and as long as the application is correct (2007-2017 Toyota Tundra Rear) they will fit correctly.

I asked a question earlier because the product I was looking at did not have access to this question link: My question is will the Bilstein 24-186230 FRONT STRUT fit the 2013 Toyota Platinum 4X4 Crewmax flexfuel? It appears from your previous answer it does not/maybe. I need the expanded and collapsed length for this model strut shock- 24-186230, not for the shock/strut listed on this page with the question link on it. I think you gave me a back shock/strut dim earlier. I need the front shock strut dim for 24-186230. Thanks again Chuck

Yes, Bilstein shock 24-186230 will fit the 2013 Tundra Platinum 4x4 Crewmax flexfuel with stock suspension. The collapsed length of Bilstein 24-186230 is 17.62 and the extended length is 23.55".

Can I put a Bilstein 4600 strut shock in a 2013 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4X4 crewmax flex fuel truck? If so what is model number? I need to get 2 asap. Did a 4" SSt lift with 5100 and fitment is an issue. I need the stock length strut shock to install. Do you know the extended length and compressed length? Thanks chuck

Bilstein shock 24-186247 is designed for stock height Toyota Tundra. Bilstein shock 24-186247 has a collapsed length of 14.98" and extended length of 24.45" Bilstein does not list a shock for a 2013 Tundra with 4" lift at this time. The only 5100 series shock they have for the 2013 Tundra is a 24-186971 that fits 0-1 inch lift. The 24-186971 has a collapsed Length of 15.33" and extended Length of 24.8".

If a shock/strut malfunctions and BILSTEIN determines it to be defective, Bilstein will either replace it or repair it, depending on the term of the warranty based on the assembly's model type.

2 Year Limited Warranty - On B4 OE Replacement (Air) / Steering Racks.

Lifetime Limited Warranty - On gas pressure shock absorbers and struts for as long as you, the original purchaser, own your car. This covers B4 OE Replacement, B6 and B6 Performance, B8 Performance Plus, B12 Series, B14, B16, B6 4600, B8 5100, B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable), B8 5112, and B8 6112.

90 Day Limited Warranty - On B8 5125, B8 5150, B8 5160, B8 5165, M 7100 Series, B8 8125, M 9100 Series, M 9300 Series, BILSTEIN Club sport series.

What the warranty does not cover

Original equipment shock absorbers: if your vehicle was equipped with BILSTEIN from the factory (original equipment) warranty claims must be directed to the vehicle manufacturer.*

Improper installation, racing, driving competition or off-road use, modified use or applications other than Bilstein recommended vehicles, commercial vehicles, bent or broken rods showing abuse or abnormal wear, surface finish, boot or mounting hardware, rubber bushings are not covered.

Labor charges are not covered by any of the foregoing limited warranties.
