Bilstein B8 5100 (Steering Damper) is designed as an upgrade to factory steering dampers on trucks and SUVs. Utilizing our proven design, these steering dampers are able to dampen minute movements in the steering and reduce steering vibrations that naturally occur, especially in older vehicles. These steering dampers are zinc coated for resistance to harsh elements and match to all B8 5100 series products. B8 5100 (Steering Damper) will offer a significant improvement in steering, handling and comfort.

I have a 2008 Silverado 2500HD with a 6" lift. This steering stabilizer you have listed in the "lifted truck shocks section". This part number did not work for my truck. The stabilizer would fully extend with my tires barely turned. I see that it is an OEM replacement. So what is the correct part number for lifted trucks because this will not work for my application.

Bilstein steering damper 33-174525 will work with lift kits. We do have customers using these damper with no lift to 6 inch lift kits. Any stock steering damper will work with a lift unless something has been changed. Are your steering damper brackets different from stock? Are the pitman arms or drag links longer than stock? Bilstein Warranty

If a shock/strut malfunctions and BILSTEIN determines it to be defective, Bilstein will either replace it or repair it, depending on the term of the warranty based on the assembly's model type.

2 Year Limited Warranty - On B4 OE Replacement (Air) / Steering Racks.

Lifetime Limited Warranty - On gas pressure shock absorbers and struts for as long as you, the original purchaser, own your car. This covers B4 OE Replacement, B6 and B6 Performance, B8 Performance Plus, B12 Series, B14, B16, B6 4600, B8 5100, B8 5100 (Ride Height Adjustable), B8 5112, and B8 6112.

90 Day Limited Warranty - On B8 5125, B8 5150, B8 5160, B8 5165, M 7100 Series, B8 8125, M 9100 Series, M 9300 Series, BILSTEIN Club sport series.

What the warranty does not cover

Original equipment shock absorbers: if your vehicle was equipped with BILSTEIN from the factory (original equipment) warranty claims must be directed to the vehicle manufacturer.*

Improper installation, racing, driving competition or off-road use, modified use or applications other than Bilstein recommended vehicles, commercial vehicles, bent or broken rods showing abuse or abnormal wear, surface finish, boot or mounting hardware, rubber bushings are not covered.

Labor charges are not covered by any of the foregoing limited warranties.
