Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Ride-Rite air helper springs can be installed on most light trucks, motorhomes, RVs, SUVs, and vans. Firestone air helper springs are installed between the frame of the vehicle and the suspension, providing load support through the use of air pressure.

Firestone has made a commitment to provide the customer with the premium air helper spring kits in the industry. Ride-Rite has become synonymous with quality, durability, and with customer support truly second to none. Each application is specifically designed to maximize the safe load carrying capacity, stability, and ride quality of the vehicle.

Firestone Ride Rite air helper springs utilize a pair of convoluted air springs which can be adjusted for changing loads. These air springs are capable of 3200-5000 lbs of load leveling capacity per set.(Note: Do NOT exceed the vehicle's recommended gross vehicle weight rating GVWR). Firestone air helper springs enhance the ride by reducing leaf friction. Please remember that air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.

Ride-Rite air helper springs enhance the ride by reducing inter-leaf friction. Please remember that air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.

Basic Kit includes everything for a quick installation:

  • 2 Air springs
  • Brackets
  • Hardware
  • Air line
  • Separate inflation valves for manual inflation
Features & Benefits of Ride-Rite Air Bags and Air Spring Kits

  • Reduce suspension fatigue - keep leaf springs from sagging under repeated or constant load
  • Air adjustments improves the ride - allowing the air springs to be matched to the load
  • Level off-center loads- individual inflation valves allow for adjustment side-to-side
  • Reduce bottoming out - protective air cushion softens contact between the axle and frame
  • Increase vehicle stability - absorbing road shock providing ideal ride conditions for passengers and load

Customer Q&A - Firestone W217602170

What would be a good starting pressure for a motor home, GVW 22000.

Asked
We typically start with 30-40 psi on Ride-Rite kits on motorhome applications and then test drive and inflate / deflate as necessary to get the desirable ride.

Hi, I have a Hurricane 33T 2008 built originally by Four Winds which I think may be part of Thor Motor Coach now. The chassis is the Ford F53. I have read that your kits do not fit certain F53 frames. I would like to know why? And is it still true? And is there a fix for whatever the problem is? Also, is the problem just for the rear axle or both front and rear? Thank you. Danny

Asked
We spoke with Firestone tech regarding air bags and the Thor motorhome. They could only advise that it would not fit because of clearance issues with the body. They did not have an additional information to provide us. The would not recommend a front or rear kit. We also spoke with Air Lift tech and they have not had any issues. They advised as long as they are not the 26,000 GVWR and there is 9" or clearance between the tire and frame for the rear kit they should work. AIL57410 Rear AIL88140 Front They did recommend to view the instructions so you can see where they mount and verify that nothing will interfere with the install.
