The Hellwig Advantage

Hellwig sway bars are heat formed and created as one piece to insure they will be the durable, strong, and long lasting. Ensuring they will be the most resistant to form alteration, which are important factors to consider in an anti-sway bar.

Cold-bent after-market sway bars are weaker at the bends and more vulnerable to shape alteration.

Installation Tech Tip

Pre-assemble the anti-sway bar before installation. Install the bar making sure to leave it loose enough for adjustments. When you are satisfied with the alignment of the end links, and clearance of the bar, you can then tighten to the recommended torque ratings.

I am lowering a 2010 gmc sierra crew cab 2 wheel drive 5 inches in the rear maybe 6 inches will the 7800 model sway bar do the trick ?

This kit will only work with up to a 4" drop. The links will need to be modified or replaced with custom links if the drop is lower.

Will this bar fit between my spare tire and diff. pumpkin? has 17" spare(stock) thanks!.Scott 2011 silverado 1500 quad cab,shortbed, 6.2 L

This kit is designed to work with the spare tire in place. It may be removed to make the installation easier but it is replaced at the end of the installation. You can view the installation instructions that we have on our website. They show photos of the sway bar installed with the spare tire.

Can you explain how to make adjustments to this sway bar and the affect the adjustments will have on the handling of a 2011 Silverado extended cab truck?

Hellwig sway bar 7800 can be adjusted by loosening the jam nut on the end link, removing the end bolt and then adjusting the length of the sway bar end link. The sway bar is adjustable so it can be leveled if you have a ride height different than stock. By lengthening the adjustable sway bar end link it allows for clearance if you have a higher than stock ride height. The adjustments are not for performance but to make sure it is level so the sway bar performs as it is designed.
