Vehicle Fitment

Part number 979 fits vehicles with the factory leaf pack, use P/N 980 if you have swapped to the Toyota warranty leaf pack.
Truck should use a 980 if it has a Toyota warranty replacement spring since it has all the extra clips.

Hellwig EZ 990

The EZ-990 helper springs are packaged complete with the same heavy duty powder coated and plated components, hardware and installation instructions as the heavy duty helper spring products. Ideally suited for light to medium towing and loads, these units are fully adjustable using the heavy duty u-bolts included in the kit using simple hand tools. If your tow and haul needs change, simply adjust the heavy duty u-bolts to suit the new requirement. Once installed and adjusted you are free to haul and or tow a multitude of equipment and commodities with greater control and stability.

These springs are hot-formed and heat-treated for strength and durability, and help to provide a safer, level ride. Made with high-quality, ASTM 5150 alloy spring steel, they're designed to eliminate rear-end sag and increase your vehicles level load carrying capacity up to the manufacturer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. With 2,000 lb. They're easy to install and mount to your factory axle U-bolt plates without any hard-to-install compressors or air bags to fail.

TruckSpring is a warehouse distributor for Hellwig products and we have been installing Hellwig air spring kits, Hellwig sway bars and Hellwig steel helper springs kits at our shop for years at our Michigan repair facility. We have a great working relationship with Hellwig and are very familiar with all of their suspension products. Hellwig products are made in the USA and we highly recommend them.

The history of Hellwig Products Co, Inc. began in Kansas City, Kansas in the early forties. With son Donald by his side, Rudolph, " Ruddy" Hellwig, began designing and manufacturing "Helper Springs". The business was moved to Southern California in the mid forties and incorporated in 1946.

By the mid 60's the company's southern California location proved to be to small and Don moved the Manufacturing facility to its current location in Visalia, California. Throughout the years Hellwig products has developed innovative suspension products that help vehicles handle loads and control sway. Products include Anti-Sway bars aftermarket and O.E.M. Also the most popular and imitated load assist products ever introduced to the light truck aftermarket, the "Load Pro 25 Series".

With a third generation of Hellwig, Don's son Mark directing the business a whole new series of innovations is being introduced. Included in these innovations is the "Next Generation" of load assist springs the patented "Pro Series" line of springs. Plus, a unique adjustable feature on new Anti-sway bar designs. Hellwig is proud to introduce the "FastRack" motorcycle racking system for toyhaulers and light trucks.
