Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 series kits are their heaviest-rated kits for hauling or towing heavy loads. They're engineered and built with reinforced bellows, and end caps made of ultra high strength Zytel nylon...strong as steel, but it weighs less and is corrosion proof. It's all held together with Air Lift's exclusive Shur-Grip crimp for lasting strength.
LoadLifter 5000 utilizes sturdy, reinforced, commercial grade single or double, depending on the kit, convoluted bellows. Like the sleeves used for the Ride Control kits, these bellows are manufactured much like a tire with layers of rubber and cords that control growth. LoadLifter 5000 kits provide up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling support. These kits provide air adjustability from 5 – 100 p.s.i. LoadLifter 5000 kits are recommended for most all 3/4 and 1 ton pickups and SUVs with leaf springs. LoadLifter 5000 is also used in motorhome rear kits and some motorhome fronts where leaf springs are used.

Ride improvement was a surprise benefit
By Adventure Wagon
I installed the load lifter 5000 on my camper van to help with the extra load from the factory conversion and extra hauling. I thought the air springs would make a rough ride but suprisingly the van rides better with less sway when driving through curves. After installing the load lifters I added front coil over shocks to increase the spring rate of the front end to match the rear. My RV now handles almost as well as my SUV and can handle all the weight I need without sagging an inch.
The Air Lift Company has been developing air spring suspension products for over 50 years. The original product, a rubber air spring inserted into a car's factory coil spring, was developed and patented in 1950.
The versatility of Air Lift air springs were proven during the early years of stock car racing. Air Lifts were used by most of the stock car racing teams for twenty years or so until the racing suspensions evolved to more sophisticated systems. The Air Lift Company sponsored cars were tough competitors on the NASCAR Grand National Circuit. The Air Lift Company has the longest history of product development dedicated solely to the development of light vehicle air suspension products.
First, in the 1950's, Air Lift pioneered the use of air spring inserts in coil spring suspensions. Then, in the 1960's, Air Lift introduced the use of sleeve-type air springs on pickup truck suspensions. During the 1980's Air Lift started using air helper springs on motor homes and ambulances. Street rods and lowered vehicles were the target in the 1990's. Today's products are an evolution of Air Lift's breakthrough development programs applying the use of air springs in light truck and motor home suspensions. Air Lift has won more SEMA awards for air spring development products than any other company.
