Firestone Coil-Rite air helper springs, also referred to as air bags, are designed specifically for coil spring suspensions. Firestone Coil-Rite air springs fit inside of your coil springs and can be inflated to provide extra load support and help level your vehicle.
Coil-Rite air helper springs provide extra support for coil springs in cars, minivans, vans, light trucks, RVs and SUVs. Firestone air bags used inside of coil springs are becoming more and more popular with cross over vehicles as people switch from gas guzzling SUV's to smaller vehicles but still need the load carrying for camping trips or weekend getaways. The air spring inside of your coil spring allows you to maximize the safe load carrying capacity of your vehicle.
Coil-Rite air helper springs work by simply adding air to the air bag just like you would when inflating a tire. The kits include everything you need to inflate your air bags manually like you would a tire. On-board Air Compressor Systems are not required but make things easy. The ability of being able to increase and decrease air pressure in your coil spring air bag allows you to easily alter your coil spring performance.
Hauling a heavy trailer for the weekend or towing your boat to the launch? Simply increase the air pressure and help level the rear of your vehicle by providing more support in your coil springs. A pair of Coil-Rite helper springs will support from 500-1000 lbs. per set, depending on the application and they are designed to work in temperature ratings from 180F (82C) and -40F (-40C).
