If you’ve recently lifted your vehicle or put on larger tires, you may have noticed that you now have instability that wasn’t there before. You might feel like your vehicle is shimmying – a.k.a, the death wobble. Sounds sinister, but it’s a common side effect of suspension upgrades, and a Rough Country steering stabilizer is an easy way to fix it. Similar in appearance to a shock, they fit horizontally between the center link and the chassis to absorb the side to side motion, or vibration, that may be a result of any suspension upgrades you’ve installed. We offer stabilizers in both the monotube design as well as the Rough Country dual steering stabilizer models, which feature two hydraulic pistons. Adding a steering stabilizer can help increase the lifespan of your tires, ball joints, and other steering components by reducing bump steer and wear and tear on the tie rod and ball joint. Each model is built with your specific vehicle in mind, so to get started select your make below. If you have any questions about products or installation, give us a call at 800-358-4751.
