The history of Hellwig Products Co, Inc. began in Kansas City, Kansas in the early forties. With son Donald by his side, Rudolph, " Ruddy" Hellwig, began designing and manufacturing "Helper Springs". The business was moved to Southern California in the mid forties and incorporated in 1946.
By the mid 60's the company's southern California location proved to be to small and Don moved the Manufacturing facility to its current location in Visalia, California. Throughout the years Hellwig products has developed innovative suspension products that help vehicles handle loads and control sway. Products include Anti-Sway bars aftermarket and O.E.M. Also the most popular and imitated load assist products ever introduced to the light truck aftermarket, the "Load Pro 25 Series".
With a third generation of Hellwig, Don's son Mark directing the business a whole new series of innovations is being introduced. Included in these innovations is the "Next Generation" of load assist springs the patented "Pro Series" line of springs. Plus, a unique adjustable feature on new Anti-sway bar designs. Hellwig is proud to introduce the "FastRack" motorcycle racking system for toyhaulers and light trucks. Now beginning its 60th year Hellwig Products continues to introduce new materials, processes and manufacturing techniques into its product lines.
