Trailer Brake Controls

Trailer Brake Controllers offer a safe and effective way to control your trailer brakes.  They allow the tow vehicle to enable the driver to control how hard and how fast the trailer brakes are applied relative to the vehicle brakes.

TruckSpring.com offers the two most common types, Timed and Proportional.

A Timed Brake Controller has a timer that generates an output signal for your brakes that increases with the amount of time you keep your foot on the brake pedal.  The braking is applied at a set fixed rate and is not related to foot pedal pressure.

A Proportional Brake Controller signals your trailer brakes to stop with the same speed and strength as your vehicle's brakes - even in reverse.
