Tuff Country 40003 Details

EZ-Ride Lift Rite Air Bag Spacers from Tuff Country adapt your air bag helper springs to your truck’s raised suspension. They insert either between the air bag and the axle or the air bag and the leaf spring, depending on the lift kit employed by your vehicle. These spacers are for vehicles equipped with lift blocks as a component of an aftermarket suspension lift kit.

The needed height of the air bag spacer may vary from the ride height added to your vehicle by your lifted suspension kit. This is because many lift kits lift the front of the vehicle more than the rear. To avoid problems, make sure that spacer is within 1 inch of the rear lift height.

Lift Rite Air Bag Spacers are not necessarily required if your air bag is mounted to the leaf spring. This is because when you add lift with a block, the added space is between the bottom of the leaf spring and the axle.

Customer Q&A - Tuff Country 40003

What is the difference on the 40001 and the 40003 I have a 2005 Duramax 2500HD with the AIR LIFT bags with a 4" axel lift. It says if im using the Air Lift bags I would need the 40003, but what is the difference if its the 40001

Asked
The 40001 spacers are used on a truck with a Non-Tapered lift block so the mounting faces on this spacer are parallel. The 40003 spacers are tapered and should be used with a tapered lift block. Using these will correct for the axle angle and keep the air bag plates parallel. Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 if you have any questions.

I am ordering the 88275 and 25870 and Tuff Country air bag spacers from you as soon as I here back. I have '08 GMC 2500HD SRW LWB with a Tuff Country 6" lift with 4" blocks in the rear. So my question is. Do I need the 40003 spacers and will they work with the 88275 Airlift air spring kit?

Asked
If the kit is using a 4" lift block the 40003 spacers are correct for this application. This kit will work with the 88275 air bags.
