Customer Q&A - Air Lift 25812

Hello, I'm looking to add dual control onboard air to my existing Hellwig airbag setup. I adjust pressure 3-5 times per week as I tow several different trailers. The pressure adjustments are small, usually I have 10psi minimum in the bags but only usually need 25-30psi to get the desired result. Only once a year or so do I need the full 50psi in each bag. They are valved independently now as I like the option of leveling to suit. Will this kit do the job? Thanks, RT

Air Lift kit 25812 will work with your Hellwig air bags and the amount of pressure you are adjusting. It is a light duty kit and will not inflate as fast as other air compressor kits, but your shouldn't have a problem with it. We have been selling the kit for years and have had very few issues with the compressor in it.

is this a big enough compressor to run front air springs along with rear? I want to run 4 bags but i don't want a 1k dollar unit because I'm not going to adjust PSI very often. If I can't what is the best package to do so?

Air Lift air compressor kit 25812 is big enough to run front and rear air springs if you are not adjusting the air springs very often. If you are only adding a little air pressure here and there, it will work fine. It is a standard duty air compressor kit that is designed for less frequent usage. It will have slower fill rate and recovery time than medium and heavy duty air compressor kits, but if you are only using it to do infrequent psi adjustments you should be fine.

The Air Lift Company has been developing air spring suspension products for over 50 years. The original product, a rubber air spring inserted into a car's factory coil spring, was developed and patented in 1950.

The versatility of Air Lift air springs were proven during the early years of stock car racing. Air Lifts were used by most of the stock car racing teams for twenty years or so until the racing suspensions evolved to more sophisticated systems. The Air Lift Company sponsored cars were tough competitors on the NASCAR Grand National Circuit. The Air Lift Company has the longest history of product development dedicated solely to the development of light vehicle air suspension products.

First, in the 1950s, Air Lift pioneered the use of air spring inserts in coil spring suspensions. Then, in the 1960s, Air Lift introduced the use of sleeve-type air springs on pickup truck suspensions. During the 1980s Air Lift started using air helper springs on motor homes and ambulances. Street rods and lowered vehicles were the target in the 1990s. Today's products are an evolution of Air Lift's breakthrough development programs applying the use of air springs in light truck and motor home suspensions. Air Lift has won more SEMA awards for air spring development products than any other company.
