Ride-Rite air helper springs, often refered to as Firestone air bag kits, can be installed on most light trucks, motorhomes, RVs, SUVs, and vans. Firestone air helper springs are installed between the frame of the vehicle and the suspension, providing load support through the use of air pressure.

Firestone Ride Rite air helper springs utilize a pair of convoluted air bags which can be adjusted for changing loads. These air springs are capable of 3200-5000 lbs of load leveling capacity per set.(Note: Do NOT exceed the vehicle's recommended gross vehicle weight rating GVWR). Firestone air helper springs enhance the ride by reducing leaf friction. Please remember that air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.

Firestone Ride-Rite kits should always have a minimum of 5 psi at all times. The maximum is 100 psi

I have a 2016 F250, gas powered, 2wd - with a Reese aftermarket under bed hitch installed. I have been told the the ride rite kit 2550 or the 2597 will work, so which one is the proper kit ?

For your truck, Firestone recommends the 2597 Kit for a 5000 lbs. option or 2703 for a 7500 lbs. option. These will both fit a 2016 F250 2WD with an in bed hitch; Gas and Diesel. The 2550 fits up to 2010 and does not work with the 2016.

My situation is that we want to travel several months away from iowa during the winter. My wife has diabetes and bad discs in ger back. She complains about the bumpy ride in our 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty V-10 4Wheel Drive Pickup. Will this product improve the ride in the cab so she won't feel every bump and be uncomfortable during the entire trip? I've been told the only way to soften the ride is to change the leaf springs and then that will adversely affect the handling of the 5 th Wheel. I hope you can help thanks Ron

Firestone air bags will help improve the ride when you are hauling your 5th wheel. Its difficult to say if it will correct the problem with feeling every bump in the road. If your truck sags when towing your 5th wheel, the air bag kit will help level it out and improve the ride. If she is feeling every bump in the road we recommend looking at a high end shock absorber like Bilstein shocks. Shocks are designed to handle the bumps in the road more than an air spring would. If you change the leaf springs to a lighter duty leaf spring you will loose the towing capacity. If you add an air bag kit to a lighter leaf spring it will require you to run the air bag with more PSI which results in a stiffer ride. Once the Firestone air suspension kit 2550 air springs are installed, it is recommended that the vehicle not be lifted by the frame, as over-extension may occur, resulting in damage to the air springs. However, should it become necessary to raise the vehicle by the frame, deflate both air springs completely. The maximum extended length of the air spring 6401 in the 2550 air suspension kit is 8.91 inches.

Will this set fit an F350 KR crew cab diesel Dually with an inbed 5th wheel hitch? The goose neck equipment has been removed to install the Hyjacker hitch. I would like to be able to install at home and I carry a compressor with me so have no problem decreasing air pressure to 5-10 pounds while not towing and increasing the pressure once connected up. Yes, Firestone Ride-Rite Air Spring Kit 2550 will work with a in-bed 5th wheel hitch. The Firestone 2550 kit works with 5th wheel or Gooseneck hitches. What this warranty does not cover
