According to my GM dealer the mounting bolts for these springs are metric. I see you list a standard 9/16 x 4.5 inch bolt. Will I have to do any drilling to use your product ?

No drilling will be required if a 9/16" bolt is used. There is only a 0.01" difference in the size of the OEM 14mm bolt and a 9/16" bolt.

Does these springs fit a 00 chevy silverado1500 ext cab?

These 22-1221 springs will fit a 2000 Silverado 1500 extended cab. This is an exact replacement for the original 3 leaf spring.

will they fit a 2007 silverado crew cab lt 2wd

This spring would fit a 2007 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab but it is not recommended. This 22-1221 spring is lighter and a lower arch than what the truck was originally equipped with so the rear of the truck will sit lower. The correct 3 leaf spring for a 2007 - 2013 model is a 22-1567.

I am thinking about attempting to change the leaf springs on my 04 1500. Can I install these with basic tools and a floor jack? Alot of the information out there looks like it's impossible to get the shackle bolts out with the bed attached. Please help before I buy! Thank you.

When it comes to installing springs, some trucks will be more difficult than others. In many cases the bolts may be corroded in the spring eyes or the shackle eyes and will need to be persuaded to move with percussion or heat. On some trucks the front spring bolt is impossible to remove without cutting or removing the fuel tank because the springs were installed before other components during vehicle assembly. The corrosion will be fully dependent on where the truck was used and how much salt they used on the roads. The front spring bolts will be obvious if you check under the truck and determine the direction that the bolt head is facing. In the best case scenario it can be done as a driveway project but in the worst case it will require cutting with a sawzall or a torch.

2002 4x4 Silverado 1500 Z71 suspension, what is the recommended leaf spring for rear. Your part number. Also recommended U bolt, nuts and washers and bump stop, plus nuts and washers?

The 22-1221 springs will fit your vehicle which is a 3 leaf spring. The following would be a list of the parts that you would need to replace the springs: U-bolts - 5-0995K, Shackles - E831-22, End bolts and nuts - C580412, SLN1011, C916412, SLN912, Timbren Kit GMRCK25S that what we recommend to take the place of the original bump stops.

Application: 2000 Silverado 1500 4WD 4.8L. The number stamped on the spring appears (pretty rusty) to be 15765128. Is this spring.(SKU 22-1221) the proper choice? The 8 digit number differs from that listed in the 'Specifications'. Is there a better choice, maybe the SKU 22-1269? The '69' is made in the USA. Is the quality, performance, and/or longevity better than the '21'? Thanks.

The 22-1221 spring is a 3 leaf spring. We have this in both an overseas brand and a USA brand 22-1221-USA. We have both in stock. The 22-1269 spring is a 5 leaf spring. We have these in both an overseas brand, and the USA brand 22-1269-USA We have them both in stock. All these springs are made to OEM specifications. The OEM number you provided crosses to the 22-1221. The 22-1269 spring would be a better load performance spring as it has more leaves and more weight carrying capacity. Are these the same spring that fits a 05 chevy 4 door 2500 duramax?

The 2500HD will use a leaf spring with a higher weight capacity such as the 22-1269 or 22-1289. Although the 22-1221 will fit, the ride height and payload capacity will be effected and they are not recommended as a replacement.

22-1221 What shackle would i buy if i was going to buy the 22-1221 leaf spring

Traditionally the shackle we sell with the 22-1221 is the E831-22. It is always best to change in pairs. If changing one side only compare dimensions to confirm fit.

My 2005 Silverado has the "Comfort Ride" spring option. Which spring matches that car like ride quality? Thanks!

You can verify which spring you have by checking the number OEM number on original spring (Stamped on bottom of second stage). Are these springs correct for my truck with the z71 package?

This is correct for a 1999-2006 Chevy 1500. The Z71 package did not effect the spring used.

I have a 04 Gmc step side. One side is around 22" from center and the other end is around 28", will these fit a step side ?

The measurements that you provided do not match any springs for that model year truck. The measurements on the leaf springs should be taken following the curve of the spring not as a straight across from the center-bolt to the spring eye. will the three leaf spring, part # 22-1221 fit the 8' long bed chassis as well as 6' bed chassis

Yes, they will work with both the 6 and 8 foot bed. Some of the trucks used heavier springs, so if you want a direct replacement we recommend you verify the spring needed by OEM number on original spring (Stamped on bottom of second stage). Do you supply shackles and the fasteners to install these new leaf springs ? If so, can you please provide me with the part numbers ? Also need to know if the front mounting holes are different then the rear mounting holes ? GM specs a 14 mm for the rear and 16mm for the front.

E831-22 is the most common shackle sold with the 22-1221 springs. For mounting bolts we use part C580412, a 5/8" X 4-1/2" (1 per spring) for the front of the spring and part C916412, a 9/16" X 4-1/2" (2 per spring) for the rear spring eyes and the shackle bolts. The OEM does use metric bolts but the size difference is about 0.01" between the metric and the standard and there is a considerable price difference. What the warranty does not cover

Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime. Any alteration of products will void the warranty. Warranty is void if new u-bolts are not installed when the new leaf spring is installed. Using existing u-bolts is a common cause for leaf spring breakage and failure.
