this U-bolt bottom plate can be used on a 3" GM axle? or it can be used on major axle diameter only?

This u-bolt bottom plate is meant for 3.25" around axle tubes. Using this on a 3" axle is not advised as it may not be secure and allow unwanted axle movement. A part number M22586 would be a better option for a 3" axle.

I have a 71 gmc c1500 are these in specs for it

These bottom plates fit many Chevrolet and GMC trucks from 1965 - 2016. The only way to confirm fit for your application would be to measure your current bottom plate and compare dimensions to this plate.

Will this plate fit a 1973 chevy c30
