Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Ride-Rite air helper springs, often refered to as Firestone air bag kits, can be installed on most light trucks, motorhomes, RVs, SUVs, and vans. Firestone air helper springs are installed between the frame of the vehicle and the suspension, providing load support through the use of air pressure.

Firestone Ride Rite air helper springs utilize a pair of convoluted air bags which can be adjusted for changing loads. These air springs are capable of 3200-5000 lbs of load leveling capacity per set.(Note: Do NOT exceed the vehicle's recommended gross vehicle weight rating GVWR). Firestone air helper springs enhance the ride by reducing leaf friction. Please remember that air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of your vehicle.

My 1ton rides extremely rough empty or loaded. It has a gooseneck trailer hooked to it all the time. I am looking for something to soften the ride. The truck rides on the overload springs even when the trailer is empty. It is a 2005 Chevy 3500 cab and chassis model with a flatbed on it.

Firestone air bag kit 2249 will help soften the ride if your 3500 Cab and Chassis is riding on the overload springs. The air bags will help take some of the load off the leaf springs and overload springs and put it on the air bags. Can this be used as an isolation lift on an acoustic chamber? How much lift (inches) can be expected?

Firestone Ride-Rite kit 2249 is designed specifically for Chevy and GMC 3500 series cab and chassis trucks. The kits are not designed to provide lift, more support. We have never tried using an air spring kit on anything that is was not designed for.

Firestone warrants its HD Air Spring products against defects in workmanship or material for a period of 2 years.

What this warranty does not cover

Damage from accidents, corrosion, improper installation, incorrect applications, overloading, and custom applications that are not specified under the OEM cross references. This warranty does not cover loss of freight, loss of profit, equipment, or personal downtime.
