Tekonsha was founded in 1963 and is the leading supplier and manufacturer of proportional brake controls. For over 40 years Tekonsha has designed industry leading trailer brake controls. In the mid 1960’s Tekonsha started manufacturing hydraulic brake controls. When the 70’s came Tekonsha Engineering made a major break through, they were the first to break new ground with an electronic brake control. These units changed the company and towing forever.

In 2007 Tekonsha introduced the P3, its most advanced, yet user friendly, proportional system offered for trailer braking. In addition to multiple language, color and contrast options, the LCD display features highly advanced, easy-to-understand roadside diagnostics.

Tekonsha proportional brake control wiring adapters reduce brake control install time. Plug it into the OEM harness under the dash and into the rear of the brake control, and your done. Works with Tekonsha Prodigy, P3 and Primus brake controls or simply remove Tekonsha connector to use with other brake controllers.
