Please be sure to check that brake line or brake cable locations do not interfere with the Aeon rubber spring under load.

With Timbren kits there are no air lines or fittings to leak. Simply bolt on the kit, and you're set for a lifetime of trouble free service.

Notes on Clearance

When installing your kit, you may need to adjust the ride height to obtain the proper clearances. Typcially this is required if the suspension has been modified, or is old and sagging.  This can be done by altering the kit (changing the rubber spring or bracket) or re-arching the steel spring to renew the optimum ride height.

Timbren recommends the following ride clearances:

Light Duty Pickups & Vans:

  • Timbren Rear kits:
    • 1 Ton Pickups - ½ inch gap between the rubber Timbren spring and the vehicle's axle
    • 1/2 and 3/4 Ton Pickups - approximately 1 inch gap between the rubber Timbren spring and the vehicle's axle

  • Timbren Front kits:

Medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers:

  • Heavy duty vehicles often have pre-load as outlined in the instruction sheet.

Timbren Kit Q&A

Q. The capacity of the kit seems awfully high. I don't think I need that much! What do you recommend?

A. The real question you seem to be asking is "Will this give me a rough ride?" Timbren rubber springs provide superb ride quality both empty and loaded. No matter how small or big the load, the Aeon rubber spring will adjust to provide a smooth and safe ride.

Q. Can I haul more weight on my truck if I install your suspension enhancement system?

A. You cannot exceed the manufacturer's axle rating or GVW rating of the vehicle. The Timbren suspension enhancement system will greatly enhance the performance of a heavily loaded vehicle. You can expect the vehicle to have reduced sag, and improved roll stability.
