Timbren Kits - Overview

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems work in conjunction with the existing suspension, to improve your ride and to protect the vehicle against the effects of overloading.

Hollow Timbren rubber springs are mounted between the truck frame and the axle. They do not take the place of the existing leaf spring, but work in conjunction with it, acting as a bump stop, to improve the ride of your truck and to protect springs against overloading.

Timbren Ride Control products enhance a vehicle's empty ride quality, while providing protection against overloading, road shock, bottoming out, sway and broken springs. Timbren Front axle kits prevent front end nose diving. Together, these features provide a smooth, level ride, even with heavy loads.

Timbren Kits Solve the following Suspension Problems

Suspension Sag:

Heavy loads cause the front or rear suspension to deflect lower than desired. Powerful, durable hollow rubber cushions help carry the heaviest loads easily. Road shock is absorbed, reducing wear and tear on suspensions. The Timbren load booster acts as bump stop, to eliminate bottoming out on bumps.

Trailer Sway

Eliminate wallowing along the highway, drifting in crosswinds or when passing heavy trucks. For more driver and passenger comfort, Timbren suspension enhancement systems sense vehicle body movement and automatically increase roll stability.

Will these timbern front bump stops work with a 4.5 inch lift kit on a 2007 gmc 2500.

This GMFK25S Timbren kit works by contacting the lower control arm to offer support for extra loads in the front of the truck. With a lift kit the lower control arm will be pushed away from the Timbren and it will not be allowed to contact. If you lift kit has some form of bump stop extension that retained the factory spacing this kit would work as usual but if the distance between the bump stop mount and the control arm is farther than stock this kit will not work as intended. It may be possible to order a custom kit with a larger rubber Aeon to accommodate the extra spacing but we would need a measurement of the distance between the bump stop and the control arm with the truck sitting unloaded, on level ground. We could run the measurement by the techs and Timbren and find out if a custom height kit would be available.

I have a 2000 GMC Yukon XL 4WD. What is the correct part for the Front Timbren Kit for both sides?

It states on the site that the GMFK25S Specifications are Capacity:1,400 lbs. Location: Fits Front Axle Timbrens site states that the GMFK25S has a capacity of 14,000 lbs. Is this a different version of the product with a lower capacity rating? Thanks

Timbren kit GMFK25S does have a capacity of 14,000 lbs. We spoke with Timbren tech support today and updated our website. This is the same kit as noted on Timbrens website. The springs are progressive and the 14,000 lbs is the max load the spring can handle.

I have a 2000 Chevrolet (new body) 6.0 liter 4x4 reg cab, is this the right product for the front? I went on EBAY and one of their vendors is saying its not compatible, but your site and 1 other says they are compatible.

What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear over time, damage from abuse or neglect, corrosion, and damage resulting from accidents is not covered. Improper installation including welding will void any warranty. Any alteration of products beyond the included installation instructions will void the warranty. Labor, freight, collateral damage or ancillary costs which may arise as a result of the failed part.
