Hitch Balls
1-7/8 inch trailer hitch balls are typically used for towing lighter trailers such as small utility trailers, jet ski, snowmobile trailers, etc. They have a 3/4 inch shank diameter and a 2,000 lbs. rating.
2 inch trailer hitch balls are the most common in towing today. 2 inch towing balls are available in 3/4 , 1 or 1-1/4 inch shank diameter. The weight ratings on 2 inch tow balls range from 5,000 lbs. up to 8,000 lbs.
2-5/16 hitch balls are for the heavy haulers. They are typically used for towing large boats, camping trailers, commercial and farm trailers. They have will have a 1 or 1-1/4 inch shank and ratings up to 20,000 lbs.

Trailer Hitch balls come in various sizes depending on the size of the load they carry. We stock only solid steel hitch balls that are engineered to meet all safety requirements of VESC regulation V-5. The hitch balls are all cold forged for superior strength.

Trailer hitch balls are available below in 1-7/8, 2 and 2-5/16 inch sizes.  Be sure to check your trailer coupler to determine the size of towing ball your need, the recommended size will be stamped on the top.
