Hood bumpers are used to cushion the hood when closing. Hood bumpers prevent damage to the hood and the truck body by preventing the contact of the body panels when the hood is slammed shut. Over time, with repeated opening and closing of the hood, the bumpers may become compressed or they may fall out completely.
Finding replacement hood bumpers should be done using the OEM part number and installing them is easy. Most hood bumpers will install by sliding into place without using any tools. A bit of soapy water can assist if a replacement bumper will not slide completely into place.
