I bought a SKU 10010 compressor to replace the original compressor on my 1975 Eldorado and it works fine, but I find it very noisy. Is there anything I can do to make it more silent, or is there other compressors that is more silent. What about SKU 16060 is that a bettet choice? B.R. Roy W Hanssen

Answer:

We do not have anything to make it more silent. Its appears the original air compressor used by Cadillac was much larger and encased. The air compressor should not be running that often, if it is you may have a leak that should be checked out. You could mount the air compressor in a different location, on the frame rails, etc. Unfortunately, we do not have a quieter air compressor that will work for this application.

Question:

Does this unit have an automatic on/off pressure switch? Is it possible to get the hose with a female fitting? Do you ship this to Sweden? Br. Roy W Hanssen

Answer:

This compressor does not include the pressure switch. Viair recommends a 90110 or 90113 pressure switch relay combo. These will control the on and off pressure of the compressor as well as manage the power flow. If you need a female pipe thread you could use BF-103-4 coupling to change the leader hose to a female thread. We are able to ship internationally to Sweden. What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear over time, damage from abuse or neglect, corrosion, and damage resulting from accidents is not covered. Improper installation. Any alteration of products beyond the included installation instructions will void the warranty. Cosmetic finish is not covered.
