Does this compressor have a shut off switch to shut it down when it reaches maximum pressure?

Answer:

Viair 90C air compressor 00090 does not have a shut off switch to shut it down when maximum air pressure is reached. You will need to purchase a pressure switch that will turn the compressor on at a certain pressure and shut it off at maximum pressure. The most common pressure switch is Viair part number 90100 which turns the compressor on at 90 psi and off at 120 psi.

Can the 90C be mounted in any direction?

Answer:

The only position Viair does not recommend is an upside-down mount, since heat tends to travel upward, and does not dissipate well in the motor housing. A sideways mounting of a Viair compressor may reduce the life of the piston seal, since everything is governed by gravity and has a weight associated with it.

What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear over time, damage from abuse or neglect, corrosion, and damage resulting from accidents is not covered. Improper installation. Any alteration of products beyond the included installation instructions will void the warranty. Cosmetic finish is not covered.
