Just curious on this because I had a similar lift on a 2008 Sierra. It destroyed ball joints and cv axels. I had to replace both within 6 to 8 months. The kit was a rough country. I have recently purchased a 2014 Silverado that is still stock. Is this common with leveling kits. I was running -12 offset wheels and 33" tires

In some cases adding a leveling kit can put extra stress on suspension components. Most manufacturers put a lot of engineering time into making sure their kits will be trouble free. With leveling kits, it is always a good bet to use a setup with replacement control arms. This allows the control arm to position the ball joints at the correct angle and they can strengthen the control arm in areas that the factory arm may be lacking. Without dropping the subframe and front differential there will always be some extra angle on the CV axles due to the lower position of the wheels in relation to the driveline, and this can accelerate wear. The more negative your wheel offset is will also put extra stress on ball joints as this puts more leverage against them. A good leveling kit should be relatively trouble free but some accelerated wear on components is common.

Ready Lift kits are designed to be used with an aftermarket wheel so there may be a need to run a wheel spacer to make the stock rim clear. Some vehicles may require the use of part 15-3485 1/2" front wheel spacer when using factory wheels. The factory wheel options and difference in backspacing vary. In order to run a 285 or larger tire on the factory wheels, you may be required to use our 1/2" wheel spacers in front. Also keep in mind that the maximum tire diameter supported by this kit is a 33" tire so it is best to double check your tire sizing as well. What the warranty does not cover

Shock absorbers are not covered under the lifetime warranty. All freight charges are not covered. ReadyLIFT leveling kit, block kits and lift kit products are NOT intended for off-road abuse. Any abuse or damage as a result of off road use voids the warranty of the ReadyLIFT product.

Customers are responsible for shipping back to ReadyLift. Uninstalled product returns must be in original Readylift packaging and include the outer carton or protective carton when shipping returns back to ReadyLIFT. If the product does not have an outer box customer will be charged an additional $10.00 re-box charge to the restocking fee.
