Customer Q&A - Bilstein 24-016971

What order do these bushings and washers go in? Do I need a dust cover with these? Any torque specs?

Asked
This is a type 2 mount in the Bilstein reference guide. Starting from closest to the shock you will install the washer and then a bushing with the washer wrapping upward around the bushing. Next you will install the shock into the vehicle so the rubber bushing is against the steel of the vehicle. Next another bushing will be installed and then the final washer wrapping towards the bushing. Finally install the nut and torque the same specs as the OEM. Torque the lower hardware to the same specs as OEM.

Proven design technology, a superior manufacturing process and a commitment to quality control characterize the Bilstein shock absorber production process.
