Customer Q&A - Bilstein 24-174534

I assume the Bilstein 5100 series steering damper is not like a shock, by that I mean under pressure. 1 person indicated when they received theirs, it fully extended like a shock, which doesn't seem logical. Thanks.

Asked
The Bilstein 24-174534, 5100 Series steering stabilizer is gas charged just as the other 5100 shock absorbers are. The gas over hydraulic design prevents fading under extreme driving conditions.
