Bilstein B8 5100 shock absorbers are designed as a direct fit solution for lifted trucks and SUV’s. These shock absorbers feature a monotube design which provides consistent fade free performance. B8 5100 shock absorbers utilize a unique, velocity sensitive, digressive piston which reacts to changing road conditions. All B8 5100 shock absorbers are tuned for each specific application to assure optimal performance is achieved.

i have a 2007 2500hd chevy silverado with a 6 inch zone lift kit . it rides terrible . will the bilstein shocks make it ride better . thanks for an answer

Answer:

Bilstein shocks have a good mixture of ride quality and performance with their internal digressive valving. This allows the shock to adjust to different driving and road conditions. Although moving to a Bilstein can help with ride quality, a rough ride can be caused by multiple components that each compound the problem. I recommend first checking tire pressure and tire load ratings as this is the most common cause of a rough ride. If the truck rode comfortably before the lift was installed it may be due to the design of the lift kit itself.

What the warranty does not cover

Original equipment shock absorbers: if your vehicle was equipped with BILSTEIN from the factory (original equipment) warranty claims must be directed to the vehicle manufacturer.*

Improper installation, racing, driving competition or off-road use, modified use or applications other than Bilstein recommended vehicles, commercial vehicles, bent or broken rods showing abuse or abnormal wear, surface finish, boot or mounting hardware, rubber bushings are not covered.
