Customer Q&A - Gabriel 49304

looking for a rear air shock kit for my 64 mercury Montclair (2 door) im told its the same as a 60 to 64 full size ford any help ?

Gabriel does not show a direct fit application for this car. Nothing matches close enough for us to recommend.

What would the ride height be with 25lbs of air my ride height is 11 1/2 trying to find a shock that will fit a lowered 69 c15 p.u. thanks

Gabriel Hi Jackers are designed for stock height vehicles. Unfortunately, they do not make shocks specifically for lowered applications. We would need to know the compressed height and extended height you are looking for or a cross to an existing shock part number

Is there a way to make these shocks perform better in cold snowy weather?

We are not aware of any modifications that can be made to a shock to make it perform better in cold weather.

What size is the air line?

Gabriel Hi Jacker shocks use 1/8 inch air line.

Following are the specifications for Gabriel 49304: Shock Extended Length: 14.35 in. / 364.49 mm. Shock Collapsed Length: 9.75 in. / 247.65 mm. Length of Stroke: 4.6 in. /116.84 mm. We do not have any air shocks for a 2008 Silverado 1500. Gabriel currently does not have any available. We typically use Bilstein shocks for ride / handling and if you need extra support when towing we use air bags or a Timbren kit. Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 if you have any questions.
