SumoSpring Rebel

The SumoSprings Rebel is a two-piece split unit attached both top and bottom via steel brackets. The Rebel is manufactured in a variety of heights, diameters and densities to support multiple applications. All SumoSprings helper springs are manufactured from proprietary closed microcellular urethane which yields a combination of uniquely distinctive properties. The materials density, tensile strength, elongation, tear resistance, rebound, and compression characteristics have been designed specifically to produce a smooth ride and provide additional load support.

SumoSpring Densities

In addition to the above mounting styles, SumoSprings helper springs are also available in three densities. SumoSpring densities are distinguished according to color as shown below, ranging from light and medium, to heavy duty. When multiple densities are available, pick the density that best suits your needs and ride preferences.

The Blue-40 density traps more air in the millions of micro-cellular bubbles, making an air spring sufficient for light and medium duty performance.

BLUE-40

The Black-47 density evenly distributes the amount of urethane and air bubbles to produce an air spring sufficient for light, medium, and heavy duty performance.

BLACK-47

The Yellow-54 density captures a smaller amount of air in the air spaces making a harder air spring sufficient for medium and heavy duty performance.

If the SumoSprings were installed, and my GMC 3500hd truck was unloaded would the ride be effected, being a stiffer ride, and will it be harsher ride for small bumps? If the above will provide a stiffer ride unloaded and harsher ride for small bumps, what do you recommend for a good ride and extra rear suspension support, for a 3500 GMC with a 4,000 pound camper? Thank you!

When your truck is unloaded the upper and lower SumoSprings will not contact each other and the ride will be unaffected. The only time they may contact when you are unloaded is on very large bumps and even then because they are progressive it will not be harsh. When your truck is loaded the upper and lower will stay in constant contact and help support the weight of the camper. These SumoSprings Rebel will be your best option for both comfort and load support without using air.

What the warranty does not cover

Vehicle use in excess of GVWR, combined vehicle weights/ tow ratings or other OEM design specifications or limitations. Normal wear and tear, deterioration of spring shape or rating, alteration, product modification, improper installation or failure to maintain. Scratches or defects in product finishes (powder coating, paint, etc.) or damage due to shipping. Abnormal or misuse, including products used other than as recommended in the current SuperSprings™ application guide or the instructions. Racing or other vehicle competitions or contests. Accidents, impact by rocks, trees, obstacles or other aspects of the environment. Heavily loaded commercial use on unpaved road conditions.
