I have a 2015 Silverado 3500 that will be hauling a 3000lb wet weight truck camper, and pulling (at least sometimes) a boat trailer with about 500lbs tongue weight. I'm planning to install Supersways and Sumosprings to level it out. What density in a Sumosprings rebel kit would you recommend for this load configuration? I'm looking for reasonable ride comfort loaded/unloaded.

Answer:

Since the SumoSpring Rebel will not contact when you are unloaded they will not change the unloaded ride quality. With an in bed camper and the possibility of a trailer as well I would recommend the SSR-203-47-2 with 4600 LB capacity to give you the best support possible. The Super Sway Stops are normally only used when an air spring kit is installed as it can lift the chassis further from the spring and not allow your overloads to contact. WIthout the extra lift of an airbag kit the Super Sway Stops may cause your overload springs to contact early or all the time and this may make your ride stiff. In this case, when pairing with a Sumo Spring, I would not recommend using the Super Sway Stops.

What the warranty does not cover

Vehicle use in excess of GVWR, combined vehicle weights/ tow ratings or other OEM design specifications or limitations. Normal wear and tear, deterioration of spring shape or rating, alteration, product modification, improper installation or failure to maintain. Scratches or defects in product finishes (powder coating, paint, etc.) or damage due to shipping. Abnormal or misuse, including products used other than as recommended in the current SuperSprings™ application guide or the instructions. Racing or other vehicle competitions or contests. Accidents, impact by rocks, trees, obstacles or other aspects of the environment. Heavily loaded commercial use on unpaved road conditions.
