I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4 x 4 with ext cab and long bed and it has a lift kit. We tow a 10,000 lb trailer fully loaded and it struggles. Would this lift kit help distribute some of the trailer weight toward the front of the truck?

Yes, Air Lift air bag kit 88275 is designed to help support the extra weight for situations like yours. LoadLifter 5000 kits have a 5,000 lb. capacity and with a 10,000 lb. trailer, your tongue weight should be around 1,500 lbs. The kit will help bring the rear of your truck back to factory height and more level with the front, so your headlights are pointing up, etc.

Question:
I have a 2006 Chevy 2500HD with fifth wheel plates mounted to the frame where the brackets would go. Will I still be able to be mount the air bags as advertised?

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate kit 88275 should fit on your 2006 Chevy 2500HD with a 5th wheel or Gooseneck hitch. The air spring brackets mount where the existing bump stop is located. We have not had any issues with the air suspension kits mounting on Chevrolet trucks with 5th wheel hitches. Please view the instruction on our website to see mounting diagram. Is the 5,000 lbs. Limit per bag or combined total of both bags?

The 5,000 limit is the total for the air bag kit. Each Air Lift Air Bag is rated at 2,500 lbs. for a total of 5,000 lbs. of capacity.

What the warranty does not cover

Products that have been improperly installed, or which have not been maintained in accordance with installation instructions. How to get service

If a defect in workmanship or materials causes your Air Lift product to become inoperable within the warranty period, before returning any defective product, call Air Lift Company at (800) 248-0892 in the U.S. and Canada (elsewhere, (517) 322-2144 to obtain a Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) number. The consumer shall be responsible for removing (labor charges) the defective product from the vehicle and returning it, shipping costs prepaid, to Air Lift Company for verification.
