Customer Q&A - Air Lift 59568

Will a 12volt portable air compressor that goes to 100psi pump these up?

Asked
Yes, a portable air compressor with a maximum of 100 psi can be used to pump your air lift air springs. The air springs have a max of 100 psi and it is rare that you would need to max them out. If you have a low duty cycle on your portable air compressor it may take some time to get to 100 psi, but it can be done.

What compressor works best with this product?

Asked
We carry a wide variety of air compressor kits for Air Lift air spring suspension kits. Which air compressor kit is best depends on the application and frequency of use. The most popular air compressor kits used with Air Lift kit 59568 are Air Lift part # AIL72000, AIL25850, and AIL25592. Feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751 with any questions.

Will this work with a B&W turnover gooseneck ball installed? Does this impact ride quality when not towing?

Asked
Air Lift kit 59568 will not work with a B & W hitch. The brackets for the gooseneck and air bags mount in the same location. Air Lift is coming out with an air bag kit for the Ford F-150's with a gooseneck hitch in 2-3 weeks. Please check back with us Mid-November 2013 and we should have one available. Air bags do not impact the ride when empty. You can run them at the minimum psi and they will not impact the ride.

Do these air lift ride control kit air springs negatively affect the ride quality when not towing? Are they compatible with a B&W turnover gooseneck hitch? How does this kit work? Do you have to use a air compressor at home to manually inflate?

Asked
You can run your air springs at the 5-10 psi and they will not affect the ride quality when you are not towing. Air Lift air spring kit 59568 is not compatible with a B&W gooseneck hitch. Air Lift air spring kit 59568 comes with manual inflation valves. You inflate the air springs the same way you would a tire. You can do it at home with an air compressor or at a gas station. We stock a large variety of on-board air compressor kits that are very convenient, but no required.

The Air Lift Company has been developing air spring suspension products for over 50 years. The original product, a rubber air spring inserted into a car's factory coil spring, was developed and patented in 1950.

The versatility of Air Lift air springs were proven during the early years of stock car racing. Air Lifts were used by most of the stock car racing teams for twenty years or so until the racing suspensions evolved to more sophisticated systems. The Air Lift Company sponsored cars were tough competitors on the NASCAR Grand National Circuit. The Air Lift Company has the longest history of product development dedicated solely to the development of light vehicle air suspension products.

First, in the 1950s, Air Lift pioneered the use of air spring inserts in coil spring suspensions. Then, in the 1960s, Air Lift introduced the use of sleeve-type air springs on pickup truck suspensions. During the 1980s Air Lift started using air helper springs on motor homes and ambulances. Street rods and lowered vehicles were the target in the 1990s. Today's products are an evolution of Air Lift's breakthrough development programs applying the use of air springs in light truck and motor home suspensions. Air Lift has won more SEMA awards for air spring development products than any other company.
