Timbren Kits - Overview

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems work in conjunction with the existing suspension, to improve your ride and to protect the vehicle against the effects of overloading.

Hollow Timbren rubber springs are mounted between the truck frame and the axle. They do not take the place of the existing leaf spring, but work in conjunction with it, acting as a bump stop, to improve the ride of your truck and to protect springs against overloading.

Timbren Ride Control products enhance a vehicle's empty ride quality, while providing protection against overloading, road shock, bottoming out, sway and broken springs. Timbren Front axle kits prevent front end nose diving. Together, these features provide a smooth, level ride, even with heavy loads.

98 Freightliner FL70 chassis with 28 ft RV added as "Toter Truck" to pull Stacker Race Car Trailer bumper hitch. Truck rides extremely hard and "Jarring" to passengers. Is close to load limit. will these help with ride comfort or cushion hard bumps in road? If not any suggestion for adding air ride as I have air system on truck.

Without seeing the vehicle it is hard to determine what is causing the jarring and rough ride. The Timbren kit may help some with the ride, but without knowing for sure what is causing the problem, its difficult to say. Timbrens generally firm up the suspension when its loaded, and they also limit suspension travel. If your are close to the max GVW you may be bottoming out or close to it now. Depending on what springs your have on now, the most common being part number 46-1189, you might be better off with heavier springs or an add a leaf if one is available. That might get your ride height back, give the suspension some travel and maybe smooth it out a little. We do not have any kits to convert to air ride. What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear and tear over time, damage from abuse or neglect, corrosion, and damage resulting from accidents is not covered. Improper installation including welding will void any warranty. Any alteration of products beyond the included installation instructions will void the warranty. Labor, freight, collateral damage or ancillary costs which may arise as a result of the failed part.
