Hellwig Load Pro 35 Helper Springs

This Hellwig helper spring set features Progressive Spring Rate and Fulltime Spring Rate design, this spring is the workhorse of the Hellwig Spring line. With the Progressive design the vehicle must be loaded and its spring compressed to activate the Hellwig Spring, therefore as the vehicles load increases the Hellwig Helper Spring progressively increases its resistance to the load. In the Fulltime design the Hellwig Spring reacts immediately to the vehicles load, compressing very little as a load is applied to the vehicle.

Manufactured with heat treated ASTM 5160 alloy spring steel these units increase your vehicles level load carrying capacity up to the manufacturer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Designed to install on full size pick-up trucks and vans, this unit requires mounting hardware to accommodate 2 1/2" or 3" wide leaf springs. Ideal for helping manage your load more efficiently, these kits are easy to install and require little or no maintenance. Just “Set it and forget it”. The LP 35 is rated at 3500lbs level load carrying capacity, do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

The Hellwig Load Pro 35 Series helper spring is designed for full sized pickup trucks, vans, RVs, and sport utility vehicles. The kit contains 2 heavy duty leaf assemblies that run over both sides of the axle. A mounting hardware kit is included with these heavy duty helper springs.

What do the "Factory Overloads" look like?

Factory overloads look like a helper spring that sits on top of your leaf spring pack. The factory overloads are typically one or 2 steel leafs that are on top of your factory leaf springs. The history of Hellwig Products Co, Inc. began in Kansas City, Kansas in the early forties. With son Donald by his side, Rudolph, " Ruddy" Hellwig, began designing and manufacturing "Helper Springs". The business was moved to Southern California in the mid forties and incorporated in 1946.

By the mid 60's the company's southern California location proved to be to small and Don moved the Manufacturing facility to its current location in Visalia, California. Throughout the years Hellwig products has developed innovative suspension products that help vehicles handle loads and control sway. Products include Anti-Sway bars aftermarket and O.E.M. Also the most popular and imitated load assist products ever introduced to the light truck aftermarket, the "Load Pro 25 Series".

With a third generation of Hellwig, Don's son Mark directing the business a whole new series of innovations is being introduced.
