Hellwig Load Pro 35 Helper Springs

This Hellwig helper spring set features Progressive Spring Rate and Fulltime Spring Rate design, this spring is the workhorse of the Hellwig Spring line. With the Progressive design the vehicle must be loaded and its spring compressed to activate the Hellwig Spring, therefore as the vehicles load increases the Hellwig Helper Spring progressively increases its resistance to the load. In the Fulltime design the Hellwig Spring reacts immediately to the vehicles load, compressing very little as a load is applied to the vehicle.

Manufactured with heat treated ASTM 5160 alloy spring steel these units increase your vehicles level load carrying capacity up to the manufacturer’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Designed to install on full size pick-up trucks and vans, this unit requires mounting hardware to accommodate 2 1/2" or 3" wide leaf springs. Ideal for helping manage your load more efficiently, these kits are easy to install and require little or no maintenance. Just “Set it and forget it”. The LP 35 is rated at 3500lbs level load carrying capacity, do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

The Hellwig Load Pro 35 Series helper spring is designed for full sized pickup trucks, vans, RVs, and sport utility vehicles. The kit contains 2 heavy duty leaf assemblies that run over both sides of the axle. A mounting hardware kit is included with these heavy duty helper springs.

when you advertise to sell 1 is that 1 set? on overload springs

Answer:

Hellwig overload springs are sold as a complete kit. The kit will include 2 overload springs, one for each side of the vehicle. One kit will do one vehicle.

Question:

I have an 07 Dodge Ram 2500, will these change the ride or ride height, when not loaded. Currently the truck squats about 3" in the rear and will these help reduce the squat or level the truck out?

Answer:

Hellwig helper springs will help bring your truck back up to stock height. They will not raise it up above stock height. The springs sit on top of of your leaf springs and will help reduce squatting. They will stiffen up the ride some if your truck is currently squatting 3 inches. If you have any other questions about helper springs, feel free to call us at 1-800-358-4751.

I have an 06 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. If I use the 3500lb helper springs will it change the ride of the truck when not hauling loads?

Answer:

The Hellwig Helper springs should not change the ride when you are not loaded. You can adjust, reduce the tension on the end u-bolts if you do feel some impact in the ride when empty and increase the tension more when hauling a heavy load if needed. We have not had any negative feedback on the Hellwig Kits impacting the ride while not hauling or towing.
