The Hellwig Advantage

Hellwig sway bars are heat formed and created as one piece to insure they will be the durable, strong, and long lasting. Ensuring they will be the most resistant to form alteration, which are important factors to consider in an anti-sway bar.

Cold-bent after-market sway bars are weaker at the bends and more vulnerable to shape alteration.

Installation Tech Tip

Pre-assemble the anti-sway bar before installation. Install the bar making sure to leave it loose enough for adjustments. When you are satisfied with the alignment of the end links, and clearance of the bar, you can then tighten to the recommended torque ratings.

Customer Q&A - Hellwig 7008

Hellwig 7008 is listed as the correct front sway bar for my 2004 Ford E-450 SuperDuty Class "C" Motorhome (a Jamboree GT). However, the installation instructions show that this sway bar is for a truck with Ford I-Beam front suspension while my RV has upper and lower A-arms. The current (stock, I assume) front sway bar ends fit into holes in the lower A-arms. Would you confirm that 7008 is the correct Hellwig sway bar for the front of my RV?

Hellwig front sway bar 7008 will fit your 2004 Ford E450 SuperDuty Class 'C" motorhome. We spoke with Hellwig directly and they confirmed the sway bar will fit your motorhome. The instructions on the website are outdated and we are in the process of obtaining current instructions from Hellwig for sway bar 7008.
