The Hellwig Advantage

Hellwig sway bars are heat formed and created as one piece to insure they will be the durable, strong, and long lasting. Ensuring they will be the most resistant to form alteration, which are important factors to consider in an anti-sway bar.

Cold-bent after-market sway bars are weaker at the bends and more vulnerable to shape alteration.

Installation Tech Tip

Pre-assemble the anti-sway bar before installation. Install the bar making sure to leave it loose enough for adjustments. When you are satisfied with the alignment of the end links, and clearance of the bar, you can then tighten to the recommended torque ratings.

My truck does not have a factory sway bar, does the 7709 bar have everything needed to install it in my situation?

Answer:

Hellwig Sway Bar 7709 for the RAM 1500 is a replacement for the factory sway bar and uses the existing factory end links. If you do not have a factory sway bar you will need Hellwig end links, part number 7961.

Question:

Will the Hellwig rear Sway bay be more stable then the factory sway bar?

Answer:

Yes, Hellwig sway bars are designed to be stronger and more stable than the factory sway bar. It is a 7/8 inch diameter sway bar and will improve the stability over stock.

Does the sway bar come with attaching hardwar (Nuts/Bolts etc...)

Answer:

Hellwig Sway Bar 7709 comes with everything that is needed to install the sway bar. Some of factory parts are used as noted in the instructions. The sway bar is designed to replace the factory installed sway bar and reuses the factory supplied end links.
